The Independent Science News (ISN) website has been offline periodically over the past few days. Here is a message from our internet service provider: “The server ISN resides on is experiencing a Distributed Denial of Service (DDOS) attack and our 3rd party datacenter provider has nullrouted the IP address of the server which has caused a service interruption. Our datacenter provider is working on identifying the traffic so it can be blocked and the server can come back online but this process can take time. We have no ETA for when the site will be active but will provide another update when one is available. We apologize for the disruption and are working on resolving this as soon as possible.”
ISN is working to find a solution than can minimize such disruptions in the future. We apologize for any inconvenience to ISN readers.
